T HE print and electronic media were full of reports recently about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif`s visit to Kuwait where he met a delegation of the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and urged the business community to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.
According to other reports in the media, Pakistanis transfer $10 billion annually abroad.
The PM must first ensure investmentfriendly policies and environment so that Pakistanis themselves invest in their country and bring their wealth back. If this is achieved, we will not need to ask foreigners to invest in Pakistan.
