CHINIOT: Bhowana Additional District and Sessions Judge Samina Ijaz Cheema on Tuesday handed down life imprisonment along with fine to a man for raping a 13-yearold boy at Chak 206-JB.

According to the prosecution, Zaib Abbas, a resident of Chak 206-JB, subjected the teen to rape while his accomplice Ismail filmed the incident on June 19, 2022. Later, the suspects threatened the boy to make the video viral Fed up with continued blackmailing, the boy told his father about the whole affair after three weel(s. The family approached the Langrana police who registered a case under sections 377and 292 of Pakistan Penal Code on July 13, 2022 and arrested both nominated suspects.

The trial lingered on for about two years and 10 months and finally the suspect was proven guilty and was awarded life imprisonment and Rs100,000 fine.
