SHIKARPUR: A senior lawyer was shot dead in Shikarpur by unknown armed men riding a motorcycle and a man along with his young son was gunned down in Madeji town in a similar attack in the early hours of Monday.

The lawyer, Allah Bukhsh Brohl, was returning home in his car when two motorcycle-riding assailants sprayed him with bullets near Jahaaz Chowk in Haji Khuwasti Brohi village within the jurisdiction of the New Faujdari police station. He died instantly and the attackers sped away after committing the murder.

In the other incident, assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on Ghulam Rasool Brohi, a government employee posted at the Government Boys High School killing him and his young son, Saeed Brohi. The victims were sitting at their shop in a bazaar, located within the jurisdiction of the Madeji police station, when they were attacked. The bike-riders drove away after carrying out the attack.

The motive behind both the attacks was said to be personal enmity. No FIRs of the murders were registered till late in the evening.
