Two killed, six hurt in Swat accident

MINGORA: Two people were killed and six others sustained injuries when a passenger van plunged into a ravine near Kanju FC camp in Kabal tehsil here on Sunday evening.
According to police, the passenger van was going from Kabal to Mingora when it met the accident.
Eight passengers were injured in the accident.
They were rushed to Saidu Teaching Hosptial.
According to hospital officials, two of the injured passengers identified as Shah Murad Khan and wife of Mohammad Karam succumbed to their injuries.
The others injured including four children were under-treatment in the hospital.
All the passengers belong to Mingora.
APPEAL: The relatives of seven Swati young men, who were kidnapped for ransom in Romania, here on Monday demanded of the prime minister and Romanian ambassador to Pakistan to take immediate steps for their release.
They said that the kidnappers were demanding 10,000 euro for release of each 1(idnapped person.
They said that they were poor people and tried to send their children to Europe for work.
The mother of Habibur Rehman, one of the kidnapped persons, said that her son wanted to go to Europe for which he gave money to an agent and reached Turkey seven months ago.
She said that they were informed by some villagers that he was kidnapped in Romania.
Shah Hussain, a resident of Bara Bandai, said that his younger brother was also among the kidnapped persons.
He said that a person introducing himself as Julian called him to demand the ransom money.
They appealed to the prime minister, chief justice of Pakistan, chief of the army staff, ministry of foreign affairs, ambassador of Romania in Islamabad and human rights organisations to take steps for the release of their beloved ones.
