ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) carried out operation against encroachments and illegal constructions at Aabpara Market on Tuesday.

The Enforcement Directorate of the Authority carried out operation in collaboration with ICT Administration and Islamabad Police.

According to a spokesman for CDA, during the operation, encroachments establishedinfrontofshops, within parking areas, public pathways, corridors /verandas of various plazas were removed and seven truckloads of encroachment material were also confiscated.

During the operation, three illegal shutters, two stairs and portioning walls constructed in the verandahs of three plazas were also dismantled and the verandahs were opened for the public.

Moreover, security cabin constructed outside plaza was also removed.

The spokesman said that a few shopkeepers tried to stop the operation and showedresistance,however, the operation was completed successfully.
