SHANGLA: The district administration sealed several filling stations for hoarding petrol here on Monday.
Respective assistant commissioners, on the directives of the deputy commissioner, launched a crackdown on fuel stations amid a shortage of petrol in the district.
Assistant commissioner, Bisham, Khuram Rehman conducted raids in various parts and sealed five filling stations for hoarding petrol.
Mr Rehman said that the sealed filling stations were operating without licence.
In Alpuri, assistant commissioner, revenue, Azhar Zahoor sealed a shop and booked its owner for selling petrol at high rate in Belay Baba Bazaar.
The shopkeeper was selling petrol at Rs120 per litre.
Mr Zahoor also sealed a hotel for not adopting SOPs.
Assistant commissioners headquarters Wajid Ali also conducted raids in Alpuri and sealed three filling stations for hoarding petrol.
Mr Ali also inspected the filling stations` storage tanks, and found three of them violating the law by not providing fuel to vehicles.
Mr Ali also distributed masks among the public on the occasion.
