ISLAMABAD: Security audit of media houses is under way as police have so far scanned 38 buildings.

This was said by DIG Security Dr Sultan Azam Temuri in a meeting with Pemra officials and representatives of media houses.

He said mobile emergency alert system had also been introduced and in this regard software had been installed in mobile phones of representatives of 31 media houses.

He said guards of some media houses had undergone three-day training.

He said security audit of 150 important and sensitive installations had also been completed, adding that mobile emergency alert system had also been introduced at 133 buildings.

So far 530 bunkers have been constructed around these installations, the DIG said. Staff Reporter
