FATEHJANG: Bags containing food items including ghee, tea, flour, rice and dates were distributed among the poor under the Ramazan package here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Shawaiz Khan said the Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif had allocated funds for the poor and wanted to give them relief during Ramazan.

Shawaiz Khan said it was a moral and religious obligation to help the poor and the needy during this holy month.

An amount of Rs800,000 was collected for Ramazan package with the efforts of assistant commissioner Fatehjang Mohammad Ijaz Malik and Tehsil Municipal Officer Khan Badshah from the philanthropists of the city.

Last week, 160 bags were distributed under the Ramazan package.Correspondent
