The famed creator 01 the national anthem, A bu-AlAsar Hafeez Jalandhari, was a leading poet known for his poetry, including Shahnama-i-Islam. The tomb of this national hero lies adjacent to the Minar-iPakistan in the Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore. I recently paid a visit to his tomb in the evening, and was disappointed to see that there was complete darkness in the area. The relevant authorities should pay some attention to the maintenance of the tomb. At least some lighting arrangement are needed at the place.
