Rs30m heroin recovered from two smugglers

LAHORE: Police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested two drug smugglers and seized heroin worth Rs30 million.

Superintendent of Police (CIA) Umar Virk after receiving information about the smugglers constituted a police team to arrest them. The police team led by Saddar Division DSP CIA Anwar Saeed Kangera carried out raid at Maqbra Morr of Shahdara Town and arrested Amjad and Aftab and recovered fine quality heroin worth Rs30 million.

The arrested men during interrogation confessed that they were running business of heroin which they smuggle to other countries. The suspects belong to tribal area from where they transport heroin to Lahore and and smuggle it to other countries.

The police were carrying out raids in different areas of the city to arrest their accomplices.
