Arsenic risk

2017-09-16
ACCORDING to studies, Pakistan has an alarming high-level of arsenic in its ground water, mostly found in the eastern areas of Punjab, which includes Lahore.

Overall, about 60m of people use the arsenic water that contains 50 micrograms per litre and five times higher than WHO strategies.

The government should take immediate action and test all the wells that pose high-risks to communities. Our government needs to inform the people that water present in wells has a high amount of arsenic.
