Tarnishing KU
2017-09-16
IT is very unfortunate that Karachi University, a top educational centre in Pakistan, is being blamed for evil designs of some terrorists.
Instead of giving the credit to this institutionforits efforts to educate and groom intellectually, socially and ethically Pakistani youths for more than six-anda-half decades, now the misguided mindset of a few students is being put on the shoulders of benefactors of thousands of its students. Some of the graduates from this university have attained the status of high intellectuals, politicians, doctors, artists, diplomats, bureaucrats, democrats, military generals and others, underthe guidance ofsuch luminaries as Prof A.B.A. Haleem, DrIshtiaque Hussain Quraishi, Dr Muhmood Hussain and other highly qualified vice-chancellors, professors, administrative staff. In Balochistan University`s early phase, KU professors took the charge of its various departments while our vicechancellors never hesitated about sanctioning leave to such KU teachers as they were offering help to establish the Balochistan University.
