WATCHING a report on a TV channel regarding hospitals in Balakot, I was astonishedtolearnthatthereisno reasonable hospital in this town after the devastating October 2005 earthquake.
The solitaryhospice thatis supposed to be `state of the art` has two doctors out of the required 10 and that too without necessary equipment.
Balakot was among the most affected city after the earthquake. It received large sums of money and pledges for construction of modern hospitals, schools and houses.
I appeal to the government that out of the huge funds allocated for projects like metro bus to please divert money for public health issues of these devastated places.
