KARACHI: Police claimed to have arrested a woman `robber` who with her husband had allegedly killed six persons during robberies, including a pregnant woman, on resistance, police said on Sunday.

A special team of the police formed to curb growing incidents of robberiescum-murders in Taiser Town and other localities of Sur jani Town arrested Yasmin, said Karachi-West SSP Younis Chandio on Sunday.

`She was involved in six murders, including that of a pregnant woman, during robberies with her husband, said the of ficer.

Her husband, Hasan Shah, has been at large.

The held suspect with her husband had shot dead a pregnant woman, Shabana Anjum, for putting up resistance to a robbery bid on 3rd of Muharram, said the SSP.

She along him had also allegedly gunned down Nadeem Raza during a mobile snatching attempt in Taiser Town recently.

Besides, she was also involved in four more murders in adjoining areas of Surjani Town.

The SSP West said the absconder suspect, Hasan Shah, had become a drug addict and committed robberies. He used to carry his wife on his motorbike. The woman used to hide his pistol in her purse so that they could not be arrested.-Staff Reporter
