G U J R A N W A L A : Ex-chairman of municipality Haji Sheilch Muhammad Yaqub Bahluliya was killed in an attack by rivals on Sunday.

Once the head of the Qila Didar Singh municipal committee, Sheikh Bahluliya was present at his outhouse when AtifGujjar and his accomplices opened fire.

He was shifted to a local rural health centre from where he was removed to the Gujranwala DHQ Hospital where he expired.Police were conducting raids to arrest the assailants.

Sheikh Bahluliya was buried in the local graveyard in the presence of thousands of mourners.
