By Our Staff Reporter 2017-11-16
LAHORE: A family on Wednesday alleged that the Kahna police distorted facts in a house-robbery case and demanded action against the respective station house officer.

Qamar Zaman told media that some 14 armed robbers entered his house where a family function was being attended by a good number of relatives.

He said the suspects held family members hostage at gunpoint and made off with jewellery, cell phones and other valuables.

Qamar alleged that the Kahna police later mentioned in the FIR Rs600,000 worth of loss which, according to him, was three times less than what robbers had taken away from his house and the guests.

He had brought the matter to the notice of the SHO but he overlool(ed his requests.

The complainant demanded that the police high-ups take action against the SHO for allegedly undervaluing the booty.

Operations DIG Dr Haider Ashraf said he would look into the matter.
