Two bullet-riddled bodies found in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT: Two bullet riddled bodies were found in Kurrum Par Area here on Monday.

A police official said that local people spotted two bulletriddled bodies in an area between Wanda Shahablchel and Wanda Gulapa and informed the Dadiwala police.

He said that the police immediately reached the place and shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy.

The deceased were identified as Falaknaz (25), resident of Wanda Aurangzeb, and Ashraf Khan (20), resident of Wanda Langerkhel. They were said to be close friends.

In a separate shooting incident, an employee of district courts identified as Liaqat Khan was shot dead over a blood feud in Ghaznikhel village. The killers escaped the area, while police registered case and began investigation.

SERVICE STRUCTURE DEMANDED: The para-veterinary association has demanded of the provincial government to formulate service structure for the employees of the livestock department.

The demand was made at meeting on Monday chaired by the association`s president Taimur Shah.

The participants unanimously adopted a resolution, asking the government to stop `unfair` treatment with the livestock department employees and upgrade them.

`The veterinary employees are denied promotion opportunities as they have no service structure,` said Mr Shah.

SHOW-CAUSE NOTICES ISSUED: The sub-divisional education of ficer of the elementary and secondary education department (ESED), Ikramullah Khan, has issued showcause notices to 102 teachers and class-IV employees of the boys` primary schools of the district for absenting duty or using other people to serve in their place in the schools.

According to an official document, a copy of which is available with Dawn, the willful absence of teaching and nonteaching staff and use of proxies by them was confirmed during surprise inspection visits to the schools by the ESED officials.

The employees included 15 primary school head teachers, 8 senior primary schoolteachers, 36 primary schoolteachers and 43 class-IV employees (watchmen) of primary schools.

The document revealed that several schools were found closed during inspection visits while at a primary school in remote rural locality grade five students told the ESED officials that the headmaster attended the school twice a week just to make entries in the attendance register.
