LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan initially promised building Pakistan on the pattern of the state of Madina but now he is giving the slogan of anIslamicwelfare state, says Jamaat-i-Islami emir Senator Sirajul Haq in a statement on Saturday.

He said a welfare state provided facilities to the citizens but the PTI was creating a price spiral depriving the people of their livelihood in thename of anti-encroachment drive. He said the nation was already under huge debt but the government was adding this burden.

`The PTI had assured a ruthless accountability but like its other promises and slogans, it has failed to show performance on this score in the last four months. The performance of the PTI government, NAB and the Supreme Court has not been up to the expectations of the masses on this score,` he said.
