LAHORE: A mother of five was shot dead by her husband in Gujjarpura on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Tuba, was shot twice and died instantly.

According to a police official, the couple had been facing marital issues for the past few years due to suspect Abdul Rehman`s rude behaviour. On Sunday,an argument escalated and Rehman became aggressive.

Reports suggest that he first beat Tuba before returning with a pistol and shooting her.

The police arrived at the scene and shifted the body to the city morgue for a postmortem.

A murder case has been registered against Abdul Rehman, who fled the scene immediately after the attack.
