APROPOS the article `Supreme Court`s Excalibur` (Jan 8). I am surprised why the apex court is not taking notice of the language, the threatening statements and the hate speeches by disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his followers against the judiciary.

Nawaz Sharif has targeted not only the judiciary, but the five judges who gave the judgement against him.

Owing to a lenient attitude by the apex court and no action under the provisions of Article 204 of the constitution and the Contempt of Court Ordinance 2003, Mr Sharif and company are encouraged.

Now, the sitting prime minister has also adopted the same language, brushing aside the court`s verdict. What will the world think about our judiciary? S. Zaki Hasan Karachi
