LAHORE: The Punjab home department has shifted applications for modifications in arms licences online to facilitate individual applicants.
The home department has written a letter to all the deputy commissioners in the province to guide the applicants to utilize the online system for future modifications of arms licenses.
Quoting the Rule-17 (sub-rule-i) of Punjab Arms License Rules-2023, the home department in its letter stated, `A licensee, on the basis of cogent reasons, may apply online change of bore, category of arms, increase in number of cartridges or bullets, sale of existing weapon or extension of validity of a license to entire Pakistan on the Form-II`.
The home department also stated that NADRA has developed an online module for modifications of individual arms licenses.
