LAHORE: Punjab University on Thursday retrieved its land and demolished illegal residential structures by occupants living there for 50 years or so.

PU Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali Shah had taken notice of the land grab after assuming the charge.

As many as 37 families were illegally occupyinguniversity land near the PU Health Center in New Campus and had built houses over 12 kanals land.

Students Affairs and Estate Security Director General Dr Rehan Sadiq conducted an operation late on Wednesday night and demolished illegal houses built on public land. Staff Reporter
