I AM a Canadian of Pakistani origin and generally appreciate the ideas of Pervez Hoodbhoy. But I differ with him on some points he presented in his article `Why Pakistan loses its best` (Feb 1).
Many Pakistanis who came to study in the US returned with good degrees. I know at least a few of them personally. I must say things are improving in Pakistan, although very slowly.
