Three miners laid to rest in Shangla

SHANGLA: The bodies of three more young miners were brought to Shangla on Sunday and buried at their ancestral graveyard on the same day.

They were killed in two separate incidents in Dara Adamkhel and Hangu areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.

According to coal mine worker rights activist Umarzada, two incidents had taken place on Saturday in coal mines in Hangu and Dara Adamkhel area of Kohat. Three workers were killed in the incidents.

He said that Umar Mohammad of Chundaki was 1(illed by methane gas in a mine in Tora Wari area of Hangu. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Chundalcai Ajmeer area of Kana tehsil.

In Dara Adamkhel, two workers identified as Ihsanullah Sarfaraz and Akhtar Ali were killed a mine collapsed. Both the deceased miners were close relatives and residents of Shonyal and Shahpurareas.

Six dead bodies of mine workers were brought to Shangla on Saturday. They were killed in a bomb blast in Shahrag area of Harnai district in Balochistan on Friday.
