CHITRAL: All arrangements have been made for holding the historical Kaghlasht festival in Upper Chitral in a befitting manner to attract tourists to the area.
This was disclosed at a meeting of the Kaghlasht Festival Committee held in Booni the other day with Shahzada Sikandarul Mulk, the president of Chitral Polo Association, in the chair.
It was decided that the event, to be held after Eidul Fitr, should be used to revive the folk sports and performing arts, which drifted towards oblivion with the advent of modern age powered by information technology.
The meeting also decided to make arrangements of drinking water and solid waste management in the plateau of Kaghlasht, which is situated at the confluence of the valleys of Mulkhow and Biyar stretching over 11 kilometres. Correspondent
