Misleading KE

CONTRARY to the misleading claim by K-Electric (KE) in relation to the ongoing loadshedding crisis in Lyari, the local residents have to endure lengthy power outageslast12 to15 hours every day;not 10. The KE, to put it mildly, is being economical with truth. The inconvenience thus caused is a gross injustice to the people of Lyari.

Adding to the frustration, KE has strategically made it difficult for the people to lodge complaints. When attempts are made through WhatsApp or helpline services, an automated response is received, falsely claiming that the outage is due to a technical fault and that the KE is already aware of it. In reality, there is no such fault.

This is merely a KE tactic to prolong loadshedding hours for financial gains.

The KE bills, however, continue to charge households for the electricity that is not even provided.

This systematic exploitation must be stopped. The provincial and federal government as well as the judiciary should take immediate and strict action against the KE`s unjust practices.

There is no doubt that the residents of Lyari deserve transparency, accountability and uninterrupted supply of electricity.
