BAJAUR: Officials of the district administration and education department on Wednesday urged the religious leaders, elders and social activists to play their due role in making the ongoing school enrolment campaign a success in the Bajaur district.
Additional deputy commissioner Hamza Zahoor and district education officer Arbab Shereenzada made the call while speaking at the opening ceremony of the enrolment campaign held here.
`We request the religious leaders, local elders, political and social figures to extend their support to the education department in the enrolment drive by highlighting the importance of education in their respective areas,` the officials said.
Mr Zahoor said all stakeholders` cooperation was critical to making the enrolment campaign a success.
District education officer Arbab Shereenzada informed the participants that about 35,000 children, including girls, would be enrolled during the campaign.
He said head teachers, headmasters, and principals of public sector schools had been provided with special training on enrolment process. Correspondent
