LAHORE: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Dr Haidar Ashraf announced on Tuesday security arrangements for Ramazan.

He said 12,000 police personnel would hold security duties.

At a meeting with religious leaders at Qila Gujjar Singh, he sought leaders` cooperation.

Dr Haider said police officials would be deployed at 3,000 mosques and imambarghas of four categories -A to D.

The Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit would man mosques and imambarghas of C and B category.
