Two arrested in Lakki for harassing female teachers

LAKKI MARWAT: Federal Investigation Agency arrested two persons including an official of education department in Lakki Marwat for their alleged involvement in harassment of female teachers.
The arrested suspects were identified as Arif Iqbal, a superintendent at female district education office and Khalid Sarfraz, a shopkeeper. They were picked up on Wednesday morning from a shop in Lakki city, triggering speculations that they were kidnapped.
After the incident, members of All Government Employees` Coordination Council gathered at district headquarters complex in Tajazai and met the deputy commissioner. They said that picking up a government official in broad daylight had no justification.
Later, Arif Iqbal`s father Mohammad Iqbal approached City police station and lodged an FIR against four persons for kidnapping his son over a woman-related issue.
He said Kashif, Rashid Shah and Fida along with an unknown man bundled his son and Khalid Faraz into a car and took them towards Mianwali.
However, a statement issued by the FIA spokesperson on Thursday said that the arrested suspects were involved in harassingand blackmailing female teachers.
He said that three mobile phones, objectionable photos and videos were recovered from the suspects and a case was registered against them.
ATTENDANCE: Bannu Commissioner Parweiz Sabatkhel has asked health authorities to install biometric devices at hospitals to ensure 100 per cent attendance of doctors and paramedics.
He was chairing a meeting of divisional steering committee on health in Bannu on Thursday.
District health officers of Lakki Marwat, Bannu and North Waziristan, divisional monitoring officer and other relevant officials attended the meeting.
The commissioner asked health officials to keep liaison with stakeholders and ensure achieving the set targets within stipulated time.
He said that administration would not tolerate any delay in health sector uplift projects.
He asked authorities concerned to complete ongoing projects within their timeframe.
He asked health authorities to address issues at local level instead of indulging in unnecessary correspondence with provincial officials. Correspondent
