CHARSADDA: A man was killed by unknown assailants while his close friend died of the shock after listening about the incident in the jurisdiction of Umarzai police station here on Thursday.

Police said that one Fida Mohammad was going on his motorbike along with his wife when unknown armed men opened indiscriminate firing on them. As a result, Fida Mohammad received critical wounds while his wife escaped unhurt. The injured was taken to the local hospital, but he did not survive.

The police claimed that before his death Mr Fida told them at the hospital that he didn`t recognise the attackers, adding he had no enmity with anybody.

Later, Roshan Khan died of cardiac arrest when he heard about the murder of his close friend Fida Mohammad. Both were laid to rest in their ancestral graveyard in Umarzai amid moving scenes. Correspondent
