TOBA TEK SINGH: Gunmen shot dead a man over resistance on Friday near Pirmahal.

Chuttiana police said Rizwan, of Chal( 334-GB, Rajjowal, was on his way to his farmland with his two relatives when three gunmen intercepted them. On resistance, the gunmen shot dead Rizwan and fled.

SUICIDE: A man committed suicide in Kamalia on Friday.

His relatives said the wife of Ziaul Haq, of Kamalia, had died a few days ago during delivery of her babyover which he was much frustrated. He consumed poison and died.

STRIKE: Veterinary doctors observed strike in Kamalia against the behaviour of the Kamalia assistant commissioner (AC) with vet Dr Muhammad Saleem at Kamalia Ramazan bazaar.

AC Khalid Mahmood rejected the allegation.

All vets of the district took out a procession which started from the municipal complex and marched on Jhang and Rajana roads.

They chanted slogans against the AC and demanded his immediate transfer.
