ISLAMABAD: Peace and Culture Organisation Chairperson Mushaal Hussein Mullick has expressed serious concerns over senior Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik`s fast deteriorating health and urged US President Joe Biden and congressmen to press Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his release during the latter`s forthcoming visit to the US.
Mushaal, wife of the incarcerated Kashmiri leader, said on Friday that Modi had unleashed a reign of terror in the India-held Jammu and Kashmir to muzzle dissenting voices.
She said the US administration should take Modi to task for his inhuman policies and rising tide of human rights violations, making life a hell for the minority communities in India and Kashmiri Muslims.
`You coward Modi, your regime is the biggest sinner of humanity,` she added. Ms Mushaal made it clear that the regime could cross all limits of barbarity and state terrorism but the Kashmiri people would not ever bow to them.
She added that people of Kashmir would fight for their birthright to self-determination until the fulfillment of their dream.
She said speaking truth bluntly was the only crime of Yasin Malik due to which the Indian authorities were hell-bent to silence him by implicating him in false, fabricated and politically-motivated cases. She said Kashmiris, Pakistanis and human rights organisations should hold demonstrations to highlight the ongoing crimes in Kashmir during Modi`s visit to the US. Staff Reporter
