KHYBER: The Khyber police`s welfare branch has distributed Rs128.3 million among the families of the martyred policemen during the last five months.

A statement issued from the DPO office in Shah Kas area of Jamrud said Rs120 million was given away to the families or heirs of the martyred policemen, while another Rs8.3 million was distributed among the children of the martyred cops as dowry and other wedding expenses.

The statement said free medical facilities were also provided to at least 163 members of such families, while six Memorandums of Understanding were signed with private educational institutions for providing free education to the children of martyred policemen. Correspondent
