In the first happening, seven murder suspects tried to escape arrest after a judge of the high court dismissed their bail petitions.
Safdarabad police of Sheikhupura had booked Muhammad Arshad, Mubarak Ali and five others under murder charges on the complaint of Zahid Husain. The police personnel could arrest three of them while the rest escaped.
In the second incident, suspect Nasir had sought ball in a case of fraud and murder. A deputy prosecutor opposed the petition and told the court that the suspect was involved in preparing fake driving licences and also knocked down three persons in a road accident.
