BAHAWALPUR: The Kotwall police arrested on Wednesday two people for blackmailing their female class-fellow while their five fellows are at large.

According to police, Jaf far Khan complained to the Kotawali police station that his daughter was a student of a academy where her seven male class-fellows blackmailed her into giving them Rs20,000 otherwise they would post her pictures on a social media site.

Later, the suspects againdemanded money from her.

Police registered an FIR against Noorullah, Osama Chaudhry, Osama Latif, Javed, Usman and others. Of them, Noorullah and Osama Latif were arrested while five others are on the run.

BAIL: An anti-terrorist court judge granted interim bail before arrest to lawyer Malik Imtiaz Awan on Wednesday.

The applicant apprehended his arrest in the FIR lodged against him by Khalid Mehmood, reader of additional district collector Imrana Ajmal on September 9.
