BAJAUR: The authorities on Friday distributed cheques to owners whose houses remained in use of the security forces in Bajaur tribal district.
A statement issued from the deputy commissioner`s of fice said cheques amounting to Rs875,166 were given to a number of residents.
The statement said the Provincial Disaster Management Authority distributed the cheques at a ceremony held at the deputy commissioner`s of fice.
Bajaur Scouts Commander Brig Rao Imran, Deputy Commissioner Fahad Wazir and district police officer Abdul Samad Khan were present. They thanked the residents for playing their part in efforts to restore peace to the region.
