TOBA TEK SINGH: A four-member team constituted by the chief minister to probe the episode of measles deaths arrived here on Monday.
Some days back, three minor girls had died after they were administered [contaminated] anti-measles vaccine in rural health centre at Chak 262-GB, Marthanwala.
The team inspected the health department`s vaccine store and recorded the statements of officials, parents of three deceased babies by visiting their village and doctors of DHQ and Kamalia THQ hospitals who treated the other three [survived] children.The team, led by Prof Dr Eice Muhammad, comprised CM`s inspection committee member Nadim Warraich, Dr Shahid Khaleeg and Dr Nasir Iqbal. The team will submit its findings to the CM on Tuesday.
POISONED: A woman allegedly poisoned her husband over some domestic dispute here on Monday at Chak Dargahi Shahwala in Pirmahal tehsil.
Arrouti police said Sania Perveen had an exchange of argument with her husband Abdul Shakoor, a shoemaker, over some family issue.
Later, the woman poisoned his food.
Police have arrested the woman who confessed to killing her husband.
