Schools in twin cities open today

ISLAMABAD: All public and private schools of the twin cities will remain open on wednesday.

President All Pakistan Private School Management Association Abrar Ahmed Khan said: `All schools in Rawalpindi will remain open on Wednesday, however, we will observe holiday on Thursday.

Similarly, the spokesmen for Federal Directorate of Education(FDE) and Private School Association said both government-run and private institutions will remain open on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the business community in the garrison city announced that it will observe a shutterdown strike on Wednesday (today) to condemn the Peshawar tragedy in which over 137 children were killed.

Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Syed Asad Mashadi and traders associations of Rawalpindi and cantonment in their meeting condemned the tragedy in the announced that they would condemned the incident in their meeting.

Rawalpindi Traders Association will arrange Fateha Khawani at Fawara Chowk after Zuhr prayer and then offer funeral prayers in absentia for children and staff members of Army Public School who were killed in the terrorist attack.-A Reporter
