LAHORE: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has decided to launch another drive to disconnect gas supply to the consumers using compressors to increase gas pressure.
The decision was taken following complaints regarding use of compressors by many of the gas consumers.
“We request the consumers to avoid using compressors because this act deprives others of gas,” a spokesman for the company said in a press release on Monday.
“Soon we are launching a campaign to disconnect supply for those using compressors,” he warned.
The spokesman said the company is making all-out efforts to ensure uninterrupted gas supply in the peak hours. He claimed that though there are some gas pressure issues in some tail-end areas, most localities are receiving gas with the required pressure.
He said since the consumers can lodge complaints using 1199 helpline, they can also approach 181 complaints centres working round the clock for resolution of their gas-related issues.—Staff Reporter
