KARAK: Adviser to the chief minister Malik Qasim Khan Khattak has claimed that a water supply scheme worth Rs300 million would be built from the Changhoz dam to Latamber to benefit scores of villages.
He was addressing a public meeting at Warana area here on Sunday.
He said people of these villages had been facing water shortage since long.
Mr Khattak said he believed in equal development of all areas of his constituency, but added underdeveloped localities were his priority.
The CM`s adviser said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led provincial government was trying to ensure that the ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor passed through the southern districts of the province. The lawmaker said the KarakDarratang road would prove a mini-economic corridor for the people of Karak as business activities would pick after its completion.
He said that the provincial government would pay the required money to SNGPL for provision of gas to the every nook andcornerofthe district.
Mr Khattak said vital public welfare projects were in the pipeline, asking the people to support him in ensuring maximum uplift of the area. He resolved that the oil and gas royalty funds would also be spent on projects having far reaching affectsonlivesofpeople.-Correspondent
