KARACHI: Motorway Police on Friday were asked to improve their performance further to make it an `exemplary institution`.

These views were expressed by newly appointed Add IG Motorway Police South region Dr AftabPathanwhileaddressing the first meeting (durbar) of the employees at the Superhighway (now M-9) office.

He heard the problems being faced by the officers and issued directions for redress of the same.

Mr Pathan directed the officers to further enhance patrolling, ensure presence of officers during every shift, make traffic challan ticket system more transparent, provide immediate help to vehicles/passengers in case of any eventuality, demonstrate polite and civilised behaviour with the passengers and perform their duty honestly.
