Four injured in gas explosion

KARAK: Three students of a private school and its owner suffered injuries in an explosion caused by gas leakage in Hakeemkhel area on Karak-Sabirabad road on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said the blast occurred when the students were preparing for morning assembly. They said the explosion was caused when the school owner, Mohammad Ishaq, switched on a bulb in a room, which was filled with gas. As a result, Ishaq and three students, Zainullah, Mohammad Javed and Imadullah, were injured.

They were taken to district headquarters hospital, Karak, where their condition was stable.-Correspondent
