Justice sultan Tanvir heard a petition filed by the Judicial Activism Panel (JAP).
JAP Chairman Advocate Azhar Siddique argued before the court that doctors and paramedics made it a routine to paralyze public hospitals and roads across Lahore.
He pointed out that due to their frequent strikes, emergency and outdoorservices at the major government hospitals came to a standstill, severely impacting the patient care.

He asked the court to suspend the licences of the protesting doctors and paramedics and initiate contempt proceedings against them.
After hearing the arguments, the judge directedthe respondents to submit their replies by the next Thursday.
