SUKKUR: One of the three brothers, nominated in the FIR of their sister-in-law’s murder, was arrested on Thursday while her grave was being dug to shift the body, police said.

They said that Shabbiran Khatoon was axed to death on Wednesday in the name of honour in a village falling within the limits of the Salehpat police station. The FIR was lodged against her brothers-in-law, Ali Murad, Hamadullah and Ali Abbas, who had fled the village.

On Thursday, the police said, Ali Abbas was arrested while the suspects were digging the grave. The axe used in the murder was seized from him, they said.
