TAXILA: Three armed bandits snatched cash worth Rs5.50 million from a man by taking his minor son at gunpoint in the heavily guarded New City-II area in the limits of Wah Saddar Police Station on Thursday.
Police sources said that Shahzad Khalil Khan was going to his house after withdrawing cash from a local bank located on GT Road. As soon as he reached near his house, three armed bandits riding on a motorcycle intercepted his car and took hisminor son at gunpoint and snatched cash worth Rs 5.50 million and two cell phones and fled with looted booty successfully.
The day broad light robbery exposed the loopholes in the security of society.
In another incident, armed bandits snatched a motorcycle from Imran Shahzad near Kashmir Colony, in broad daylight, within the limits of Taxila Police Station. Respective police registered two separate cases and launched further investigations. Correspondent
