USAID to help Pakistan in public health projects

ISLAMABAD: The US Agency for International Development (USAID) has signed three project commitment letters with the federal ministry of national health services and Sindh health department, committing budgetary support for health projects in the country.

USAID mission director John Groarke, National Health Services secretary Muhammad Ayub Shaikh, health services academy executive director Dr Assad Hafeez and Sindh health secretary Dr Fazlullah Pechuho signed the commitment letters on behalf of their governments here on Wednesday.

The projects aim to strengthen provincial health and population departments planning and reform, improve the use of datato inform public health planning in Sindh and suppon faculty development and research at the Health Services Academy.
