Robbers, burglars take away cash, valuables

ISLAMABAD: As many as 23 more incidents of robberies and burglaries were reported in the federal capital on Tuesday.

In the first incident, robbers attacked and injured a man in PWD Colony, police said. The injured was identified as Mohammad Sudhir,who is associated with Bykea.

Two persons hired him for a ride from Khanna to PWD Colony. When they reached the destination, one of them drew out a dagger and threatened Sudhir of dire consequences if he did not hand over cash and other valuables.

However, Sudhir put up resistance and one of the suspects attacked him with the dagger and leaving him injured. The suspects then escaped with the motorcycle, its registration book, Rs500 cash and driving licence, the police said.

In another incident, two robbers entered a marriage hall in Sihala and held its staff at gunpoint. They then robbed them of Rs223,000 cash, a mobile phone and a motorcycle.

On the other hand, two armed men intercepted Matiullah in Khanna and took away his mobile phone.

Meanwhile, some burglars broke into the house of Mohammad Ashfag in Ghauri Town and stole gold ornaments weighing 12.5 tolas, one tola silver jewellery, Rs30,000 cash, two laptops, 15 watches and other household items.

Similarly, burglars broke into an under-constructionwho is associated with Bykea.

Similarly, burglars broke into an under-constructionhouse of Inspector Raja Tariq in Yar Mohammad Society in Bhara Kahu and made off with electrical items worth Rs123,000. Burglars also stole Rs50,000 cash from a carwash shop in Chattha Bakhtawar.

Likewise, thieves stole construction material worth Rs3 million from a construction company site in Athal, the police said.

In another incident, suspects entered the house of Danyal George in Mera Jaffar and took awayRs8,000 cash and two mobile phones.

Meanwhile, 16 motorcycles were stolen from F-8 Markaz, Rehman Town, Blue Area, Talhar Village, Phulgran, Rati Kassi, G-11 Markaz, Alipur, B-17, G-10/4, G-9/2, Judah Town, Khanna, Qamar Town, Chungi No. 26 and Soan Garden. Staff ReporterRs8,000 cash and two mobile phones.
