SWABI: A man with the help of his son allegedly shot dead his brother and nephew, while a woman committed suicide when her husband`s body was brought to their house on Tuesday, said rescue and police officials.

Topi city police officials said Abdul Hafeez, 65, and his son Abdul Ahad, 25, had gone to their fields to harvest grass for cattle when they noticed that Abdul Hakeem and his son Aamir Hakeem were taking gravel from their land.

They tried to stop them and a brawl started which led to firing. As a result, Ahad was killed on the spot and his father suf fered bullet injuries.

He later succumbed to his injuries in THQ hospital.

However, Hafeez told police before his death that his brother Abdul Hakeen and his son Aamir opened fire on them. An FIR has been registered in the Topi city police station.

In Maneri Bala village, a woman allegedly committed suicide by shooting herself when body of her husband, identified as Hamza Ali, was brought to the house. Sources said Hamza All was killed over an old enmity.

Also in the day, a man allegedly shot dead his estranged wife in Maini village.

Officials said Azmat Bibi who belonged to Swat district had married with Pervez Khan two years ago, but their relations deteriorated and she was staying with her parents. They said she wanted to take all the dowry items back and when they were loading a tractor-trolley Pervez allegedly opened fire, killing her on the spot.

An FIR has been registered against Pervez in Topi police station.

Meanwhile, body of a man was recovered in Zaida police station limits.

The deceased was killed and his body thrown in the graveyard near Potohar canal. The police were informed about the body by local people. Correspondent
