Cop murdered by gunmen

NAROWAL: A Sialkot patrolling police constable was killed by three motorcycle-riding gunmen on Wednesday, according to the police.

A Nandipur patrol post team was patrolling near the Bhakhriwali area of Bombanwala police when the gunmen opened fire on them. As a result of the robbers` gunfire, constable Tayyab Mahmood Shah was fatally shot in the head and died. The suspects fled the scene.

In response, Daska DSP Malik Muhammad Khalil has implemented a blockade to facilitate the immediate arrest of the culprits.

Senior police officers visited the crime scene with a substantial contingent upon receiving information about the shooting incident.

The Bombanwala police transferred the body to the DaskaTehsilHeadquarters Hospital for a post-mortem examination and necessarylegalprocedures.

The police stated that they would soon apprehend the culprits.

ROBBER: A crossfire between police and robbers resulted in the death of one robber in Sialkot, while two others managed to escape. According topolice, the incident occurred at 5:30am when three gunmen on motorcycles held Ashig Ali at gunpoint in the jurisdiction of Motra police robbing him of Rs75,000. They fled towards Panduriyan village along the canal track.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Motra patrolling team initiated a pursuit of the robbers and eventually cornered them near Shah Badshah Darbar. The police warned the robbers to surrender, but they responded by opening fire directly at the police team.

In response, the police adopted a defensive strategy and returned fire.

After a few minutes, the firing from the robbers ceased, and during the subsequent search, one of the robbers was found killed in firing by his own accomplice.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Yasin from Sahiwal district, according to the police spokesperson. He was wanted by the police in connection with numerous thefts, robberies and other serious crimes.

The police have taken custody of the robber`s body and shifted it to the government hospital for necessary legal procedures and a postmortem examination.
