Bilawal to lead team to Europe, US to counter Indian propaganda

ISLAMABAD: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will lead a delegation comprising key parliamentarians to Europe and some other countries to present Pakistan`s case at the international level after the recent Pakistan-India conflict, following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in India-held Kashmir.
Mr Bhutto-Zardari, who had previously served as the country`s foreign minister under the previous PDM government, himself confirmed this development through a message on his official social media account on X on Saturday.
`I was contacted earlier today by Prime Minister Shehbaz [Sharif], who requestedthat I lead a delegation to present Pakistan`s case for peace on the international stage, wrote the PPP chairman.
Mr Bhutto-Zardari further said that he was `honoured to accept this responsibility and remain committed to serving Pakistan in these challenging times.
Later, an official statement released by the PM`s Media Wing disclosed that the prime minister on Saturday made a telephone call to the PPP chairman, asking him to plead the Pakistan`s case and expose the Indian propaganda at the international level.
The delegation comprises Musaddiq Malik, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Senator Sherry Rehman, Hina Rabbani Khar, Faisal Sabzwari, Tehmina Janjua and Jalil Abbas Jilani. The delegation will visit Washington, London, Brussels and Paris.
